Titera’s Tidbit: Tungsten
In Swedish, tungsten means “hard stone”. The ore from which this metal is extracted is uncommonly hard, as is the metal itself. It has the highest melting point, lowest vapor pressure, and highest tensile strength at superhigh temperatures of all metals so far known to us. “Tungsten” abounds in the mountainous regions of the world, Scandinavia included.
