Titera’s Tidbit: Abracadabra
Magicians of yore walked the walk, not only uttering magical formulas but also carrying written spells about their bodies for protection from other enchanters. The formula “abracadabra”, in the shape of a triangle formed by the word’s losing a letter with each line, was worn inside an amulet. No one knows its origin, but it has now come to mean gibberish.
